All meals are all served in the magnificent Hall, which was built in 1277. Entering through the original wrought iron oak door, you follow in the footsteps of many historic figures that have enjoyed Merton’s hospitality over the centuries, including Queen Elizabeth I. The Hall can seat 120 guests in the traditional College style seating.
A special four- or five-course Banquet can also be arranged
Our Steward will be only too pleased to discuss wine requirements for dinner.
All meals are freshly prepared in the College kitchens, using only the finest ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible.
Drinks receptions can be arranged either on the Chestnut Lawn (subject to the weather of course), in a College reception room, or — by special arrangement — in the Ante-Chapel.
